Edward J. Steinberg, age 80 of Newton, formerly of Marblehead on Monday, October 17, 2011. For 58 years, the beloved husband of Ruth T. (Freeman). Loving son of the late Hannah (Baron) and Barnett Steinberg. Devoted father of Sondra H. Levenson & her husband Norman A. Levenson of Chestnut Hill, Marc A. Steinberg & his wife Stephanie H. Steinberg of NYC and the late Marjorie “Margie” E. Korff and her surviving husband Robert S. Korff of Newton. Loving grandfather of Arielle Levenson, Benjamin Levenson & his wife Camille Payne, Amanda and Daniel Korff, Alexander & Caroline Steinberg and great grandfather of Solomon Levenson. Dear brother of Selma Krichmar & her husband Joseph and the late Sandra Steinberg. Beloved brother-in-law of Phyllis & Irwin Chase. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Service at Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard St., Brookline on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at 11:00am. Burial to follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 41 Dedham St., Sharon. Following the burial, the family will be at his late residence through 8:00pm and continuing on Thursday l-4pm & 7-9pm and Friday l-4pm. Please omit flowers.
