Edwin M. Bassuk

Bassuk, Edwin M., 92, of Framingham, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026.

Beloved husband of the late Bonnie (Brock) Bassuk. Devoted father of Shari Bassuk and her husband, Paul Markowitz, of Westborough; Joel Bassuk and his wife, Lucie May, of Oxford, England; and Heidi Zibel and her husband, Scott Zibel, of Leominster. Cherished grandfather of Ezra and Elianna Markowitz, Noah and Sheba Bassuk, and Ardon and Shayna Zibel.

Ed was born in Niagara Falls, NY in 1934. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Buffalo and then joined the U.S. Army. After meeting his beloved Bonnie and starting a family, he settled in Framingham, MA. Ed worked in management at Sears, Roebuck & Company for many years, and upon retirement he continued to work in different capacities. At home, Ed loved manning the grill and being with family and friends celebrating every birthday and holiday. Ed felt blessed to watch his family grow and to have time with them.

A graveside service will be held at Framingham–Natick Hebrew Cemetery, 20 Windsor Avenue, Natick, on Thursday, July 30, at 11:00 a.m. Immediately following the service, Shiva will be at the Shillman House, 49 Edmands Road, Framingham, from 12:30-2:30 p.m. Parking is available in unmarked spots in the rear of building.
