

Beloved son, brother, and uncle Elijah Lincoln Goodman, 28, of Brookline, MA, passed away on June 19th, 2025.
Elijah was born on July 10th, 1996 in Boston, MA to Ellen and Bruce Goodman. Elijah attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst as a History major and graduated in May of 2019. After graduating from college, Elijah worked as a nursing assistant at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston where he was esteemed by his coworkers. He was known by all to be compassionate, loving, and principled. He went on to receive his Masters in Social Work from Simmons University in May 2025 and was about to start a position at MGH working at an in-patient substance abuse clinic.
Elijah was predeceased by his father Bruce Goodman and is survived by his mother Ellen Goodman, his twin brother F Samuel Goodman, his sister Lauren Post and her husband Mike Mello, his sister Aaryn Gottesfeld and her husband Ellis Gottesfeld, his two nieces Eva and Aliya Gottesfeld and two nephews Benjamin and David Mello, as well as numerous friends and loved ones throughout the Greater Boston area.
Services will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025 at 10 am at Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard Street, Brookline. Interment will be private.
Shiva will be held at Ellen’s home on Monday from 1 pm - 4 pm and Tuesday and Wednesday from 3 pm - 6 pm. All are welcome to give their condolences.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages everyone to give light and love to the people around them, just as Elijah did throughout his lifetime. If you would like to donate, the family encourages donations to be made in his honor to The Greater Boston Food Bank.
