Ellen Susan Berman

Ellen Susan Berman, of Framingham, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and dear friends on January 10, 2014 following a brief illness. Born and raised in New York City, she moved to Framingham in 2005 to live closer to her sister Jane. She was the devoted and beloved daughter of the late Rose and Ben Berman, loving sister of Jane and her husband Steven of Framingham, and loving aunt of Jody, Erika, their children Jessica, Brooke and Skylar, of CA, and Jeremy and Emily of CA, the adored niece of Miriam Nadler of NYC, cousins, Jerrold, Richard and Eric Nadler and their children and grandchildren in New York City, and her best friend Carol Farese of Montauk, NY. A member of Temple Beth Am and their Sisterhood for many years, she belonged to the Temple Beth Am‘Knitzvah’ Crocheting Circle, and made thousands of scarves and hats for children and adults in the hospitals. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends at the Callahan Senior Center and was a volunteer manicurist at the Callahan Senior Center. A funeral service will be held at Temple Beth Am, 300 Pleasant Street, Framingham, on Monday, January 13, 2014 at 11:00 am. Burial at Framingham-Natick Hebrew Cemetery. Shiva will be observed at her sister’s home on Monday evening, January 13, 2014 from 7:00-9:00 pm and Tuesday January 14, 2014 from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. Please omit flowers.
