Ellen “Judy” Glassman, lovingly known to all as Judy, passed away unexpectedly on September 7, 2026, at the age of 66. Born on September 20, 1959, Judy will be remembered for her deep devotion to her family, her lifelong friendships, her dedication to her work, and her wonderfully lucky spirit.
For most of her life, Judy devoted herself to caring for her family. Her family was at the heart of her life, and she cherished every opportunity to be surrounded by the people she loved and to create lasting memories. The time she spent with her family brought her some of her greatest happiness.
Throughout her life, Judy was blessed with many lifelong friendships. She treasured these relationships deeply and adored the friends who remained by her side through the years. Their companionship, laughter, and shared memories were an important and cherished part of her life.
Judy was deeply dedicated to her work, giving more than 45 years to her career. Her commitment, loyalty, and dependability were a testament to the hardworking person she was and to the pride she took in all that she did.
Judy was also known for being incredibly lucky. Whether winning the lottery or enjoying a fortunate streak at the casino, she seemed to have a special way of finding good fortune wherever she went. Those lucky moments brought her great excitement and became cherished stories her loved ones will remember with smiles and laughter. Her lucky spirit was a special part of who she was and one of the many things that made Judy uniquely Judy.
Judy is survived by her two sisters, Zena Morgan Gibson and Sandra Garabedian; her brothers-in-law, Steven Gibson and Armen Garabedian; along with her many beloved nieces and nephews and cherished cousins. She also leaves behind countless lifelong friends whose lives she touched and whose friendships she held so dear.
Judy was predeceased by her mother, Rose Glassman; her father, Samuel Glassman; and her brother, Michael Glassman, whom she missed dearly and carried in her heart throughout her life.
Above all, Judy will be remembered for the love she gave so freely to her family and friends. Some of life’s happiest moments for Judy were simply those spent surrounded by the people she loved. She understood that the greatest treasures in life were not things, but the love, laughter, companionship, and memories shared with family and friends.
As the beloved words of Winnie the Pooh remind us, “If there ever comes a day when we can't be together, keep me in your heart. I'll stay there forever.”
Her unexpected passing has left a profound emptiness in the lives of those who loved her. Judy will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and lovingly remembered.
Memorial services for Judy will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Levine Chapel, 470 Harvard Street, Brookline, Massachusetts. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor Judy’s life, celebrate the memories she created, and offer love and support to one another as they remember her.
