Ellen Gordon (Derow), age 78, of Natick passed away peacefully on February 17, 2015 due to complications from a recent fall. She was the daughter of the late Dr. Harry and Ruth Derow and step-daughter of Eric Marmorek. Loving mother of David Gordon and his wife, Wendy, Andrew Gordon, and Paul Gordon. Cherished grandmother of Sophia, Halle, Alex, Megan, and Dylan. Dear sister of Peter Derow and his wife, Ruth, and step-sister of Frank Marmorek and his wife, Kathy. Ellen is well-remembered by students of Framingham South High School where she worked as the school’s Career Counselor during the 1980s. She later served as Zoning Board Director for the town of Wellesley. Funeral service will be held at Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard St.,Brookline on Sunday, February 22 at 11:00am. Burial in Adath Jeshurun Cemetery, 350 Grove Street, West Roxbury. A memorial service is planned for the spring. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
