Elsa Ramin

Elsa K. Ramin, age 90, of Boston, died on Sunday June 29, 2025.

She was happily married for 68 years to Gerald Ramin and is survived by her three sons; Bruce (Tila), Jonathan (Denice), and Laurence (Sue), sister, Elaine Greenberg, and grandchildren; George (Cindy), Daniel, Lily (Noah), Lisa (Nick), Irina and great grandson George Jacob.

She was a 1956 graduate of Wellesley College and later went back to Simmons College for a Master's Degree in social work. Elsa worked for 25 years at Massachusetts General Hospital as a psychiatric social worker.

In retirement she enjoyed more time with her family, as well as studying and teaching at the Harvard Institute of Learning in Retirement. She loved her friends like family, travel, dogs, and summers on Cape Cod. Elsa was loved and respected for her warmth, intelligence, integrity, and strength.

There will be no service but there will be a memorial gathering at a date to be announced.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Mass General Cancer Research Leukemia and Lymphoma Fund.
