Eugene C. Black, age 85, of Newton, on Friday, October 18, 2013. Beloved husband of Frances Malino. Loving father of Alexander Black & his wife Loretta, Rebecca Black & her husband Dave, Andrew Black & his wife Michelle, and step-father of Daniel Hoffman & his wife Kim, Elizabeth Hoffman & her husband Eric. Cherished grandfather of Eric, Hagan, Olivia, Aidan, Jerron and Nathan. Dear brother of John Black & his wife Ellen, and the late Margaret Mirabelli.
Services will be at Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard Street, Brookline on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 11:00am. Burial will be private at Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Memorial observance at his late residence on Wednesday & Thursday from 6-9 PM. Remembrances in his memory may be made to the E.C. Black Prize Internship at Brandeis University, 415 South Street, Waltham, MA 02453, or to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
