Eva Chisholm

Eva Marilyn Chisholm passed away peacefully at 86 years old on July 22, 2026. Eva most recently resided in Gainesville, Virginia after spending most of her life in Stoughton and Bridgewater, MA.

Eva was born in Stoughton, Massachusetts to Hugh and Lillian Wechsler on September 1, 1939. She graduated from Stoughton High School in 1958. In March 1961, Eva married John Chisholm Jr. and resided in Stoughton where they raised their three children, John Everett Chisholm III, Ronald Scott Chisholm, and Bruce David Chisholm.

Eva worked at Merkert Enterprises in Canton, MA for many years before retiring in 2008. Eva moved to Bristow, Virginia in October of 2022. She enjoyed spending time with her family, Eva’s greatest joy where her children, daughters-in-laws, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved unconditionally. Eva enjoyed traveling, especially her trips to Hawaii, Las Vegas, and California.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents, Lillian and Hugh, and her brother, Marvin.

Eva is survived by her children, John Everett Chisholm III and his spouse Donna Chisholm of Bridgewater, MA, Ronald Scott Chisholm of Honolulu Hawaii, and Bruce David Chisholm and his wife Jennifer Chisholm of Bristow, VA. She was the grandmother of John Chisholm IV and his wife Liz Chisholm of Bridgewater MA, Gregory Chisholm of Bridgewater MA, who called her “Bama.” Grant Chisholm of Bristow, VA, and Sophia Chisholm of Bristow VA who called her “Nana.” Eva was the great-grandmother of John Chisholm V, Lucas Chisholm, and Zoe Chisholm, all from Bridgewater, MA who all called her “Honey”.

Graveside services will be held on July 30th 11:00 AM at the Chevra Kadusha Cemetery of Boston in Woburn. Massachusetts.
