Eve was born in 1911 to Bernard and Rose Sherman in Cambridge. She lived with her siblings Rebecca, Harry, Irving, Doris, and Betty in a cheerful and happy house. She attended Cambridge High School. She went on to marry Albert L. Levine and have two wonderful girls Joan L. Levine and Margery E. Levine. Eve focused her time on raising her family and enjoyed every minute of it. She volunteered at Beth Israel as a Grey Lady. Over the years she took pride in cooking (especially baking apple pies), her family, and her friendships.
She is survived by Joan Levine Daniels & her husband Lee Daniels, five grandchildren and their spouses: Mark & Shelley Derby, Jonathan & Wendy Derby, Wendi Daniels, Scott & Marla Daniels, Robert & Melissa Madden and seven great grand children: Amanda, Andrew, Hannah, Ellie, Matthew, Benjamin and Nathaniel. Eve was predeceased by her daughter Margery Levine Derby & her husband Burton Derby. Eve was an amazing woman. She was strong, determined, self righteous, and knew what she wanted out of life. She spent her time, once her children were grown playing a little golf and bridge. Once her husband passed in 1977, she spent more time investing in the stock market. Mostly, she will be remembered for the love she gave her family and friends her entire life. She will be greatly missed.
Services at the Chapel at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon on Friday, December 30 at 12:00noon. Following the burial, memorial observance will be at the home of Joan & Lee Daniels until sundown.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, www.dana-farber.org in Eve’s name.
