I met Evy downtown when I was a pushcart vendor during the middle 80's. By this time she was folk fan and I still searched for the latest punk singles at Newbury Comics. One night after a June Tabor concert that she encouraged me to accompany her, we were sitting in HiFi pizza in Central Sq. at 2am and I blurted out, "I can't believe I am in HiFi pizza with a 40 year old woman." she laughed and always reminded me of this even as a few months ago.
We were friends for over 25 years and now that she has gone on, I am left with our memories of laughing, concert going, arguing, disagreements, late night hair dying sessions.. the facets of a deep friendship.
