Frank Eli Aizley, aged 93 of Burlington, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025.
Born in Chelsea, MA, Frank was the beloved son of the late Henry Aizley and Ida K. Aizley. He was the devoted husband of his cherished wife, Brenda Aizley, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage. He was the proud father of Arthur Aizley and his wife Cheryle Aizley of Cranbury, NJ, and Jeffrey Aizley and his husband Dana Chapman of Provincetown, MA. He was the loving grandfather of Jasmine and Alex Aizley of Cranbury, NJ, and dear brother of Joseph Aizley of Chelsea, MA.
Frank was a 1950 graduate of Chelsea High School and earned his degree in Physics with honors from Tufts University in 1954, where he was also a member of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity. Following graduation, he served proudly in the United States Navy as a Lieutenant Junior Grade, during the Korean War with the Seventh Fleet aboard the fast attack carrier USS Kearsarge (CVA-33), later continuing his service in the Naval Reserves.
A man of many interests and talents, Frank was a member of the Knights of Pythias Lodge, an amateur inventor, and a lifelong learner. After college, he pursued acting in Los Angeles, working behind the scenes on the films A Gun for a Town (1957) and the cult classic The Screaming Skull (1958). He briefly owned a beauty supply company before returning home to Massachusetts, where he began work as a Private Investigator. Frank was honored to be named a Special Officer by the Chelsea Police Department—an achievement he held with great pride.
Frank’s inventive mind led him to draft early blueprints for what became the world’s first electric toothbrush, later sold by Procter & Gamble, though he never received formal recognition for his contribution.
He lost his father at a young age and was deeply influenced by his uncle, Samuel “Sammy” Koupchik, a prominent figure in Boston politics. He cherished memories of summers spent with his cousins, the Harrisburgs, in Old Orchard Beach, Maine.
In the 1970s, Frank transitioned into the world of finance, where his sharp intellect and work ethic led to a long and distinguished career. He held senior executive positions at Josephthal & Co., Thomson McKinnon Securities, Prudential-Bache Securities, Prudential Securities, Wachovia, and Wells Fargo Securities, where he served as Senior Vice President before retiring at age 82.
Frank had a lifelong love of Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and Mohegan Sun, much to the amusement (and occasional concern) of his family. Yet his greatest joy was his family—his two sons, whom he loved with all his heart, and his devoted wife, Brenda. When Brenda’s health declined in 2012, Frank became her tireless caregiver and constant companion, a testament to the deep love and devotion they shared.
Frank will be remembered for his intelligence, humor, determination, and the unshakable love he gave to those closest to him.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at 10 am at Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard Street, Brookline, MA. Burial will be private.
