Frieda (Abelow) Cooper, age 104 years, of Memphis, TN, formerly of Charleston, SC on Friday, October 24, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Herman L. Cooper. Loving mother of Arlene C. & Dr. Joseph Strauss of Staten Island, NY and Barbara C. & Rabbi David J. Radinsky of Memphis, TN. Adored grandmother of ten, great grandmother of thirty eight and great great grandmother of two. Dear sister of the late Rabbi Leo, Aaron, Sam, Oscar and Joe Abelow, Sarah Bell and Bessie Lefkowith. Services in the Chapel at Beth El Cemetery, 776 Baker St., West Roxbury on Sunday, October 26 at 3:00pm. Shiva begins immediately following the burial through Monday 1pm at the home of Leila & Arnold Abelow and will continue at the homes of Arlene Strauss in NY and Barbara Radinsky in TN.
