G. Douglas Brown of Shrewsbury, formerly of Newton, entered into eternal rest on July 24, 2022. Doug was born in Boston, MA on February 29, 1944. He was the son of the late Gladys (Shearer) Brown Hirshberg and Gus Brown. He was retired from a long career in the lighting industry.
Doug is survived by his children, Jeffrey (Donna), Jonathan (Lisa), Melissa and Michael (Emily); his grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew, Connor and Katelyn and his sister Bonnie Bass. Doug was preceded in death by his brother Leland. A private graveside service will be held at Sharon Memorial Park.
