

Grace Cohen Stein passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, at the age of 103, after a long, joyful, and beautifully lived life.
Born in Maryland on March 4, 1923, Grace was the cherished daughter of Ruth Hartogensis Cohen and Ellsworth Cohen. She shared a loving marriage with her beloved husband, David Stein, and together they built a wonderful life in Newton and the greater Boston area before later making their home in Boca Raton, Florida.
Grace embraced every day with an extraordinary joie de vivre that inspired three generations of her family. She had a remarkable gift for finding beauty in life and delighted in traveling, shopping, animals, and designing beautiful homes. Above all, Grace treasured her family, who were the center of her world. Her warmth, optimism, generosity, and unwavering love left an enduring impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Grace is survived by her sons, Dennis Stein and Geoffrey Stein, and their spouses, Adria and Priscilla; her grandchildren, Josh, Laura, Adam, and Jaime Stein; her great-grandchildren, Grace, Gwen, Rachael, Gabrielle, and Hazel; and her devoted care team-Arianna Stein, her granddaughter-in-law, Angela Mutebi, Feeza Treasure, and Victoria Hutchful whose compassion, kindness, and dedication brought her comfort and joy in her final years. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, David Stein, who passed away in 2008.
A Graveside Service will be held at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon, MA, on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 10:45 a.m.
Grace remained happy, positive, and full of love until her very last breath. Her joyful spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her, and her legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.
