

Henry Paris Burstyn (Paris to all who knew him), was born Jan. 7, 1952 and passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026.
Paris was raised in Lake Hiawatha, NJ. His father Morton was a mechanical engineer and his mother Dorothy (nee Paris) worked at Dell Publishing. Paris studied microbiology as an undergraduate at the University of Colorado and as a graduate student at Rutgers University. He relocated to Boston in 1975 and launched a long and distinguished career in telecommunications consulting and science journalism. Paris also met his beloved Deb there and they would go on to be “culture vultures" and he the Nick to her Nora. Paris served on the Board of Directors of The Boston Modern Orchestra Project and supported many other local arts organizations. He was a USMS swimmer and avid photographer in his spare time. A die-hard Red Sox and Patriots fan, Paris was fond of spending time with his many friends and sharing the pleasures of fountain pens and typewriters.
Paris was predeceased by his parents, his brother Leslie Paris Dornfeld and, the love of his life, Deborah Cooper. He is survived by his niece Elizabeth Katzman (nee McCarty), her husband Josh and their two sons, Cooper and Jacoby.
Services at Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard Street, Brookline at 11am on Monday, March 2nd with burial immediately to follow at Forest Hills Cemetery, 95 Forest Hill Avenue, Boston.
