

FINN, Irving B., of Brookline, entered into rest September 8, 2016 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Joyce (Stacey) Finn. Devoted brother of Norman (Judith) Finn, Ruth (late David) Nosonowitz, Rosylon (Seymour) Seidman, the late Lillian (late Irving) Cutler and the late Gertrude (late Abraham) Solomon. Dear son of the late Theodore and Julia (Stein) Finn.
In his professional career Irving was a writer and executive with CBS in New York for many years and later an executive with American Express in both New York and London until his retirement. Over the years he was actively involved in many local organizations in the Brookline and Boston area. Irving had a great appreciation and interest in both music and the arts and enjoyed sharing these with his family and friends. Irving was a volunteer and veteran of WWII who served with The 10th Mountain division and as a result of combat near Mt Belvedere Italy received a Bronze Star and Purple Heart in honor of service to his country. An outstanding gentleman, husband, friend, and hero.
A graveside service will be held at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon on Monday, September 12, 2016 at 9:45 AM. Following interment, memorial observance will be held at the home of Norman and Judith Finn until 4PM and from 7-9 PM on Monday. In lieu of flowers, donations in Irving’s memory may be made to Wounded Warriors Family Support at www.wwfs.org.
