Jacob "Jack" Shafran

Jacob S. “Jack” Shafran, Age 91, of Brookline, on Monday, January 23, 2017. For almost 67 years, he was the beloved husband of Janice (Glovin). Loving father of Audrey Shafran & her husband Howard Harris and Gail Shafran & her partner Hal Rosenblatt. Adored grandfather of Wendy Weiser & her husband Johnathan Hoffman and Benjamin Weiser and great grandfather of Damon Weiser and Johnathan Hoffman, Jr. Dear brother of the late George & Milton Shafran, Marion Koenig, Beverly Kaplan and Charlotte Feldman. Fond uncle to his nieces and nephews.

Services at the Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard St., Brookline on Wednesday, January 25 at 12:30pm. Following burial at the Tifereth Israel Cemetery, Grove St., West Roxbury, memorial observance will be at Gail & Hal’s home until 5:00pm and 7-9:00pm, and on Thursday from 2-5:00pm and 7-9:00pm. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Brookline Senior Center, 93 Winchester St., Brookline, 02445.
