Jane Ellen (Kraft) Haymon

Jane Ellen (Kraft) Haymon, 85, of Palm Beach, FL and Quechee, VT passed away peacefully with her daughters at her side on January 7, 2024 at New Bridge on the Charles, Dedham, MA. Born October 21, 1938 in Lynn, MA, daughter of the late Ansel and Bella (Rome) Kraft. Preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of nearly 60 years, Monte R. Haymon, Jane leaves behind her daughters, Karen (Dan) Rubin, Debbie (Ken) Bloom, and Jackie (Peter) Katz. “Grammy” Jane is also mourned by her 10 adoring grandchildren, Allison (Dan), Rachel (Bryan), Matthew, Brian (fiancé Lauren), Jason, David, Amy (fiancé Jack), Tyler, Anna, Kali, and 3 great-grandchildren, Emma, Henry, and Charlotte. Jane also leaves behind her twin sister, Joan Boyages and brothers Sumner (Pat) Kraft, and Robert (and the late Alice) Kraft, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A proud graduate of Tufts University, (J’60), with a BS in Biology, Jane went on to have a brief yet meaningful career as a medical technologist. She volunteered for causes important to her, most notably working as a political poll volunteer for Massachusetts. Jane loved to travel, read, golf, and was an avid scrabble and bridge player, in addition to being a NYT crossword puzzle maven. Most important to Jane was her love of time with family and close friends. Her infectious laughter and sense of humor are gifts to all who knew her and will carry on in the lives of her grandchildren.

Services will take place at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton, MA on Wednesday, January 10, at 1:00pm. Interment will take place immediately following the service at Sharon Memorial Park in Sharon, MA. Shiva will be at Karen and Dan's home on Thursday, January 11 from 12:00-4:00pm and 6:00-9:00pm.
