

For 17 years he was the beloved husband of Wren (Jareckie), father of Jake Sugarman, son of Elaine Sugarman & her husband Herb Kutzman, and Matthew Sugarman & his partner Elaine Kantrowitz. Brother of Neal Sugarman & his wife Daniela, and Mark Sugarman. Son- in-law of Grace Jareckie & the late David Jareckie. Brother-in-law of David Jareckie & his wife Sherry Schwarz, Ellen Jareckie and Ann Jareckie He also leaves behind Rosalind & Allan Ganz, Alan Sugarman, Lisa Rizzo, Jodi Sampson, and Dean Ganz. In addition, his nieces and nephews Leon and Lily Sugarman, Justin and Jonathan Rizzo, Michael and Ryan Newbury, and Ben Jareckie.
Jeff attended Newton South High School and Northeastern University. He played bass guitar with local rock bands including The Prime Movers, The Slaves and The Strangemen. He succeeded in his career with First Data Corp, where he won top honors as an account executive for the past 18 years. Jeff had a passion for skiing with his son in Vermont and body surfing on Cape Cod. Jeff and his family loved to travel and had a special place in his heart for Italy where many wonderful memories were made. He will be remembered as a kind, honest and gentle soul, who easily made strong and lasting friendships with people from all walks of life. His loyalty to his family, friends and co-workers will never be forgotten.
A memorial service will be held at Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard St., Brookline on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 1:00 pm. Following the service, family and friends are invited to meet at Devlin’s Bistro in Brighton to celebrate Jeff’s zest for life.
