

Jerome Sadow, 92, of Brookline & Wellfleet died peacefully at home on June 30. The son of William and Sarah (Shapiro) Sadow, he is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Cathy Cuttler Sadow; his sons and their partners, Joshua & Nicole Sadow-Hasenberg (Seattle) and Jonathan Sadow and Betsy Kraat (Oneonta, NY); and his adored grandchildren Eli and Zachary Sadow-Hasenberg (Seattle). Jerry graduated from Boston Latin School and UMass Amherst, with graduate degrees from NYU and the Columbia School of Journalism. His career included serving as press secretary to Edward W. Brooke both as Massachusetts Attorney General and U.S. Senator. He also worked for the U.S. Department of Transportation and was a reporter for the Boston Globe and WBZ. Jerry loved classical music, tennis, Persian rug auctions, photography, and the New York Times. Funeral service will be at Stanetsky's, 1668 Beacon St. in Brookline, at 11, Monday, July 6. Burial to follow at Moses Mendelsohn Cemetery, 350 Grove St. in West Roxbury. Shiva will be held at his late residence on Monday and Tuesday.
