I worked with Joel at SocialMesh and his glowing energy, spirit, drive and passion was always encouraging and positive. I have to credit him for giving me my first startup experience and since then I have gone on to do amazing things. Joel was an incredible person with an always happy personality and I am incredibly sad to hear this news. Know and cherish that his influence has inspired so many people to accomplish the most out of their lives. 

I met Joel while working with Ceridian in Dallas after we partnered with Sterling Systems where he worked in NYC. We hit it off immediately and I later became and investor, partner and Board member in High5 Fashion and SocialMesh.  Joel was always a burst of energy and passion and we had some great times together.  His laugh was infectious.  It was not always smooth, and we had our challenges, but I will always cherish the good times we had together and hold him in the highest regards.  I am happy to have met his parents and siblings one time and wanted to express my sympathies to all of you on such a tragic loss.  

My heart is broken, I saw Joel 2 weeks ago, when he came in to our Dental Office for his checkup.  I remembered him as a young boy, and how engaging and talkative he was. The last thing he said to me was that he was looking forward to turning 40, and that he was trying to quit smoking.  He also told me that he will be seeing a lot of me. I told him, that I was looking forward to to seeing him.  May he RIP 💜🙏

Joel was my good friend and neighbor my entire life. Always with the biggest smile on his face I will never forget. A true angel taken too soon but I know he is in a better place now.
