Judith "Judie" (Bernstein) Strauss

Judith “Judie” (Bernstein) Strauss, of Canton, formerly of Needham, Westwood, and Chatham, passed on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. For 55 years, she was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Sheldon Strauss. She received her bachelor’s degree in teaching from Boston University where she met the love of her life, Shelly.

Judie started her career over 60 years ago, teaching English and History at Wellesley Junior High School. She obtained her master’s degree in education at Boston State College and soon after that went on to work with the elderly and special needs at The Education Cooperative.

She was an avid tennis player, loved reading and painting, and cherished her time with her children, grandchildren and friends.

Adored mother of Stacey Moran of Port Orange, FL, Debbie & Brian Kudish of Franklin, and Michael & Angela Strauss of Chesapeake, VA. Devoted and loving grandmother of Harry, Max, Samantha, Allison, Matthew, Joey and Liza. Cherished daughter of the late Larry and Lorraine Bernstein, dear sister of the late Fern Lore and loving daughter-in law of the late Louis and Eunice Strauss.

Services at Stanetsky Memorial Chapels, 475 Washington St, Canton on Monday, October 28 at 1:00pm with livestream viewing available using the following link: www.levinelive.com/judithstrauss . Burial at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham St, Sharon.

Shiva observance to be held directly after burial in the ballroom at Orchard Cove, 1 Del Pond Drive, Canton, MA.
