Kathryn Rauh Bland

Kate died in peace and comfort after a five-year struggle with breast cancer. Along the way she touched many people’s lives with her kindness, generosity and good humor. She became a figure of resilience and courage, who gave encouragement, support and hope to other survivors she met during her journey.

Kate was born to Ed and Polly Rauh in Los Angeles, CA. The family moved to Stamford, CT in her early childhood where she grew up with her brothers Tom and Edward, playing in their quiet, leafy neighborhood outside the city.

Kate headed off to Smith College to study Government and Economics, after which she joined Mutual of New York followed by employment in several startup tech companies before finally finding the perfect match with Amazon.

Kate is survived by her daughter Rebecca, her husband Simon, her mom Polly, her brother Tom and a large extended family of nieces and nephews, friends and work colleagues. She was loved and we will miss her every day.
