Larry H. Brill

Larry H. Brill, Age 68, of Newtonville on Thursday, June 25, 2015. Beloved husband of Susan (Schmidlein) Brill. Cherished father of Dana Brill, Ben Brill & his wife Cara (Giudice), Sam Brill & his fiancé Julianne Strom. Larry is predeceased by his father Bernard, mother Ida, and brothers Donny and Peter. He is survived by his nephew Allen & Stacey Brill and niece Sharri & Harvey Schneider. He is also survived by the Schmidlein family: Jean Blakeney, Robyn Schmidlein & Tiny Costello, John Schmidlein & Connie Bruce, Ricky & Suzanne, Kenny & Colleen, Kevin & Alison, Jimmy & Marion, and many loving nieces & nephews.

Born in New York City, and raised in West Orange, NJ, Larry attended Northeastern University, where he received Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in engineering. He built a distinguished career at the US EPA where he served as Chief, overseeing restoration of Superfund sites for nearly 40 years. While his professional achievements were extensive, what best defines Larry are the lasting friendships and devotion to his family.

A Memorial Service will be held at Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard Street, Brookline on Monday, June 29 at 2:00pm. Following the service, the family will receive visitors at their home until 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Massachusetts General Hospital Lurie Center for Autism,
