Laurel Myers

Myers, Laurel F. passed away on May 31, 2018. Laurie grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of the late Mollie V. Stewart and Charles Friedberg. Laurie earned a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in speech from Emerson College. In addition to teaching, Laurie was also a real estate broker, interior designer and was active in many local charities. Laurie was married to the late David B. Kaplan and then the late Gerald Myers. The role in life that Laurie was most proud of was that of mother to her four children. She is survived by Michael Kaplan, Andrew and Amie Kaplan, Tracey Kaplan, and Heidi and David Heinlein. Laurie was also blessed with five grandchildren whom she adored, Connor, Matthew, Jake and Tori Heinlein and Taylor McGuire. Services at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton, Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 12 noon, followed by interment at Sharon Memorial Park. Memorial observance will be at the home of the Heinlein’s Tuesday following the interment and Wednesday, 4 – 8 pm.
