Leonard A. Rosen, a resident of Chestnut Hill, MA, formerly of Back Bay and Brockton, passed away peacefully at his home on July 1st. He was surrounded by his cherished daughters, Lenore , Leslie and Jane, his grandchildren Alex, Ben, Jacob, Maddy, and Joshua, his son in law Chris and his faithful companion Charlie, who remained by his side at all times.
Leonard was the adoring husband of Barbara Rosen who passed away 10 years ago. He will always be remembered for his dry sense of humor, his boundless generosity, and the immense love he had for his daughters. As a devoted grandfather to Alex, Ben, Jacob, Maddy, and Joshua, he played an active role in their lives, proudly watching their milestones from elementary school to graduating college.
Notably, Leonard maintained lifelong friendships, some spanning nearly eight decades. Despite his remarkable accomplishments, he remained a humble man who would go above and beyond to help those in need.
His company, Security Engineered Machinery, founded in 1967, held a special place in his heart. Until very recently, Leonard actively participated in its daily operations, attending board meetings and relishing the camaraderie of his dedicated employees.
One of Leonard's greatest sources of joy was being surrounded by friends, embarking on endless travels, and adventures and savoring early dinners with his beloved girls.
The memories of the incredible times shared with him are filled with much laughter. We will forever hold a special place in our hearts. He was an incredible father, husband and grandfather and wonderful friend to all. May his memory be a blessing.
Service will be held at 11:00am on July 7 at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 1668 Beacon St., Brookline, MA.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the MSPCA
