Marty, Deanie, Geri and girls, my deepest sympathy to all of you on the loss of our beloved Lila.  We had reconnected several years ago I'm happy to say.  She was a positive influence in my life, and I will forever remember her with great love.

Kind, caring, outgoing, thoughtful, helpful, generous, wise….  Words cannot adequately describe Lila: If you didn't know her, you wouldn't understand; if you did, you already know what an amazing person she was.  I am extremely grateful – not just for her generous help and friendship – but that she was part of my life.  Lila was dearly loved, and will be sorely missed.

To Lila's Wonderful Family, 

Mere words cannot adequately express our feelings of loss when we learned of Lila's recent passing. She acocmpanied my late mother and me to   many performances of Sarah Caldwell's Opera Company of Boston performances and then to many Boston Lyric Opera performances with Lauri and myself. 

She was a wonderful,humerous, gracious,generous lady.

Deanie and Geri -  As you know, Lila was a big part of my life growing up. I have such fond memories of all the various activities my family did with your mom - from Celtics games, to the Tall Ships in Boston, her visits to Maine and other activities in the Boston and Framingham area.  Not only was she a good friend to my parents, but a great role model for me.  She will be greatly missed, but often remembered.  My deepest sympathies to you and your families.

Deanie and Geri - please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of your mother.  She was an amazing person who was very nice to me.  She was a close friend of my family, and one of my homeroom teachers at Framingham South High School.

I will always remember going to Celtics games with her.  She was also nice enough to give me a set of tickets so I could take one of my friends (who was a HUGE) fan to his very first Celtics game.

We were so sorry to learn of Lila's passing.  She was a very special person - always there to listen when you wanted to talk, help out when you needed it, or just have fun with at family celebrations.  Our thoughts are with you.

Knowing Lila was indeed a pleasure. Our trip up to Maine will always be etched in my mom and my memories. Also her horse radish and gefilte fish were highlights each year. She will be missed.

As you know, Lila was as much a matriarch to me and my family as our own mother in her living years.  So many of my life's major decisions were made under the compass of her loving advice (if not approval).  Having such a person in our lives was a tremendous gift.  To say that she'll be missed does not do justice to the impact on all of our lives.  

I hope that you find peace knowing that she's free of pain and enjoying a long awaited reunion with loved ones.

While I cannot be there with you until Monday, know that my family is with you in spirit, and love you all.

Lila will be remembered by us as a genuinely warm, caring, and giving person. She will be greatly missed.
