Penan-Lillian (Grand), of Fitchburg, MA, formerly of Brockton, MA, passed away on January 13, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Maurice Penan. Dear daughter of the late Samuel and Miriam Grand. Devoted mother of Attorney Alan M. Penan, Susan Mothon and her husband Philip and Harriet Berenstein and her husband Joel. Cherished grandmother of Rachel Deandrea and her husband Eric. and Scott Berenstein. Proud great grandmother of Emily and Ethan Deandrea. Lillian was a life member of Hadassah, a member of sisterhood of Agudas Achim and MA retired Teachers Assoc. She received recognition for her service to the Burbank Hospital volunteers. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lillian’s memory may be made to Congregation Agudat Achim, 268 Washington St, Leominster, MA 01453, or Make a Wish Foundation.
