Louis Fritz passed away peacefully on October 27, 2026.
Louis was married to his beloved wife, Phyllis, who passed away in 2008. They shared 48 years of marriage and built a loving family together.
Louis is survived by his three children: Allison Fritz LaRhette and her husband, David; Michael Fritz; and Dan Fritz and his wife, Jackie.
He also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Kim White, Kayley LaRhette, Ryan Fritz, Corey Fritz, Shannon Fritz, Sara Fritz, and Jacob Fritz; as well as one great-grandchild, Lennox White.
Louis was born in 1936 to Hyman and Anna Fritz, who predeceased him. He was the oldest of the six children Kenneth Fritz, Marsha Blau, Ronald Fritz, Rita Santoli, and Debra St. Martin.
Louis graduated from Roxbury Memorial High School in 1954. Throughout his life, he maintained many lasting friendships and cherished the relationships he built along the way. After marrying Phyllis, he settled in Framingham, where they raised their family.
Louis worked for Plymouth Rock Trucking for over 40 years. Never one to sit still, after retiring, he continued working for another 15 years at Adesa Auto Auction, where he enjoyed staying busy.
Louis was a true jokester who loved making people laugh. He was also an enthusiastic dancer who simply couldn’t resist getting out on the dance floor. He loved New England sports and enjoyed playing softball, basketball, racquetball, and handball. Telling jokes and making people laugh brought him tremendous joy, and there was nothing he enjoyed more than hearing the laughter of others.
He also had a generous heart and believed in giving back to his community. Louis volunteered at the Callahan Center and collected aluminum can tabs for the Shriners. He also volunteered his time at the Boston Marathon, an event he proudly ran himself numerous times, starting when he was 50 years old.
Above all, Louis will be remembered for his sense of humor, his love of family and friends, his generosity, and his ability to bring a smile to just about anyone’s face. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a legacy of laughter that will live on through all who knew and loved him.
