I was a patient of Dr. Brill early in her practice (actually while in residency)  and saw her regularly for 10 years. This period coincided with her marriage and pregnancies. I found her to be a humane, exceptional therapist who truly helped me. I owe my life to her and I am so deeply saddened to learn of her passing. My condolences to all who were fortunate enough to know her and bask in her radiant kindness.

I am shocked and saddened to learn that Mara, my childhood best friend, had passed.  I was lucky to have as my best friend as we matured into young women.  She was wise beyond her years and so generous.  My deepest and heartfelt sympathy to you all.

Every guest book entry emphasizes Mara's generosity and warmth. Oh she was a  wise, loyal, interested, charming friend!  I admired her in medical school and loved her later in life. Mara "forced" her generosity on me! and I will be forever grateful. What an endearing competent woman who enjoyed games, humor and friends. Mara radiated love for her family and she was deeply loved in return. She lead an exemplary life and we are the better to have been in her circle.  We will miss her everyday. I can't express enough how much Dr.Brill impacted my life. She taught me many valuable lessons that I will continue to carry with me every day. She always urged me to better myself. My thoughts go out to everyone who was lucky enough to have known her.

Dear Marius, Allisa and Jessica,
Robert and I went to the beautiful funeral and cried right alongside you. Your words were perfect, moving and a fitting memorial for such a wonderful person. I already miss Mara so very much. Not only was she a dear friend, the kind you could share everything and anything with (and I did), she was also my favorite words-with-friends buddy. I loved having such a worthy opponent! And she was such a fun, competitive eager player. It also became a special way to stay connected with her. What a joy I now miss deeply. My heart continues to cry with you even as I pray that our merciful God will be your Rock and Strength in these very difficult times of struggle.

Mara will be missed by the many people whose life she touched. I was blessed to have been counted among her friends in Medical School. 
 My deepest sympathy to Marius, Alissa and Jessica, I cannot begin to share your grief but know that I am deeply saddened and will miss Mara greatly.  I know that the day will come, when her remembrance will again put a smile on your faces.  May she rest in peace and she will not be forgotten.

The good die young, but to live in the hearts of those who love you is never to die.

There are not enough good words to describe Mara... In the books, under the "definition of a dedicated caregiver" one should always see her picture... She will live with us for as long as we will, Marius, their girls, the family and all the friends who loved her...

For my dear friend Mara: I miss you so much already. It doesn't seem possible that I will never  be able to hear your voice again or laugh with you. It never mattered how long between our get togethers, we picked up as if we had been together just the day before. We have shared so much over the years, starting with our time at Tufts Medical School- our hopes, our dreams , our fears, our joys, our struggles. I am so thankful you were a part of my life and always will be. I am also very thankful for Marius, your family and friends for taking such loving care of you.
