Marc L. Koslow, of Miami Beach, FL, suddenly on September 18, 2018. Beloved son of Eleanor L. Koslow Shuman of Newton, MA and the late Harold Koslow. Adored grandson of the late Bessie and David E. Levine of Woodhaven, NY.
Producer/Writer of NBC’s “Today Show”. Graduate of George Washington University, he received his Master’s Degree from Columbia University’s School of Journalism.
Marc showed his talent early as a senior in high school, he was the writer, producer and voice of “High School Beat”. As a 20 year old, Marc was elected to the National Board of Directors of Sigma Delta Chi Professional Journalistic Society, as well as Vice President of its local chapter. He was awarded the Herman A. Lowe Memorial Journalism Scholarship at George Washington University in 1972.
On July 6, 1979, Marc’s column entitled “A Death in the Family” was published in a special edition of “Newsweek”.
Survivors include Barry and Marlene Koslow, Edward Koslow and Amy Heimlich, Dr. Andrew and Susan Koslow, Wendy Koslow, Jennifer and Laura Koslow, Beverly and Dr. Abe Green, Stephanie, David, Joshua and Samuel Michaels, Victoria and Dr. Jordan Grabel, Dr. Zachary and Nicole, and Isabel Grabel, Elizabeth and Jeff, Jason, Matthew and Daniel Schneiderman.
Services were held on Friday, September 21.
