MALIS, Mary (Ashman) of Brookline, entered into rest on June 19, 2021, at the age of 102. Beloved wife of the late Philip Malis. Devoted mother of Sheila Shulman and her husband Harry of Newton and Joel Malis of Waterville, ME. Cherished grandmother of Laura Shulman Brochstein and her wife Rebecca Brochstein, Elizabeth Shulman and her husband Andrew Mastronarde, and Adam Shulman, and great-grandmother of Noa and Eitan Brochstein and Isaac and Mia Mastronarde. Loving sister of the late Hyman Ashman, Sarah Appel, Joseph Ashman, Esther Schlar, Rose Ashman, and Nathan Ashman. Services will be held at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 1668 Beacon St., BROOKLINE on Wednesday, June 23 at 11:00 AM, followed by interment at the Roumanian-American Cemetery in Danvers. Memorial observance details will be announced at the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s memory may be made to Temple Sinai, 50 Sewall Ave., Brookline, MA 02446.
