Michael Sclar, of Newton, entered into rest April 10, 2019 at the age of 73. Michael loved every day of his life. He loved a good steak, watermelon, and chocolate, and had a passion for politics. In a quiet, gentle way, he treasured his family and friends. He felt so very blessed for everything and everyone in his life. Dear son of the late Harry and Minnie Sclar. Beloved husband of Joan Sclar and devoted father of David Sclar and Ilana Krieger and husband Josh Krieger. Cherished grandfather of Ari Jacob Krieger. Dear brother of Gail Zarr and brother-in-law of Mel Zarr and Carol and Chuck Lipsky. Loving uncle to Michael and Wendy Lipsky and Stephen and Karyn Lipsky. Adored great-uncle of Harrison, Alex, Ava, and Robbie. Funeral Service will be held at Temple Beth Avodah, 45 Puddingstone Ln, Newton, MA on Sunday, April 14 at 12 noon, followed by interment at Agudath Israel Cemetery, 776 Baker St. West Roxbury, MA. Memorial Observance will be held at his late residence on Sunday 7PM-9PM, Monday 12PM-4PM and 7PM-9PM.
