I am so sorry for your loss.  I worked with Mike briefly.  He was always so pleasant, would go out of his way to help others and always brought a smile with him.  My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

We were fortunate to work directly with Mike during the time he was with the VA credit union. He was always friendly, knowledgable and courteous and had many ideas to assist both credit unions in growing.  We were so sorry to hear of his passing and extend our condolences to his family.

i will never ever forget comming in many days after fighting with my father, and you ALWAYS reminded me he didnt mean it and it would get better and that if you had a daughter like me you would put me on a pedastool. you always knew what to say and never stopped believing in me, even when i gave up on myself. im so glad tracy lynn brought me to you and i got the pleasure of working for you. Noone will ever know how much we appreciated you as a person, boss, and mentor. you always made sure samisuelynn had ice cream sandwhiches, even on my worst days you made them better with a simple few words of wisdom. fly high mike, i hope you get to meet my momma, and see what a woman i she was since i ALWAYS told you about her. I am so saddened by your passing Mike.  It was a pleasure to know you and work with you at MAFCU. I'll never forget your humor, your little scooter, our political banter & the many lunches we had at the Village Smokehouse. Until we meet again, RIP in my friend! I will miss you Mike Shuman. I remember one of our first joint sales calls many years ago, going from cold calling to unexpectedly walking out of an office with a check with more zeroes either of us had ever held. We won the business and I won a friend for life. Love you! Miss you!

My shock and sadness over Mike is overwhelming. Even though I had not had contact with him and the family in many years, communicating with him on social media was a highlight for me. Experiencing his humor, intellegence and some fond memories was an honor. My sincerest sympathy to you all. A light has gone out in the universe and has created a void which will never be filled.

Once upon a time there was a magical summer destination known as Lake Farm Camp. It was there that I met Mike.  LFC taught us a lot. We learned about the great rivalry between the Yankees and the Red Sox, learned how to swim, milk goats, man water craft, play tennis, etc. More importantly we learned about diversity and tolerance and we learned that each of us was important. Working as a team was better than going it alone. Those of us who spent our summers enjoying life at LFC have stayed close throughout the years, bound together by shared memories and, more often than not, a shared outlook on the world. Years later I like to think we all have each others' backs. Michael was, and is, one of those I always think of when I recall my summers at LFC. Full of life and passionate about all he did, Mike always had a big mischievous smile and a twinkle in his eye. Mike, keep on shining till we meet again and rest in peace.

Mike you were a great guy and funny as hell! I had the pleasure of working with Mike at the credit union. You will be terribly missed!

I had the pleasure of meeting Mike through MAFCU when I worked at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Mike helped me buy my car through the credit union and also helped get my daughter a job there, which was an immense personal favor to me. I was so sorry to hear about Mike's untimely passing. He will be greatly missed!

I'm so saddened by the terrible loss of my cousin and my classmate Michael! Our heated political disagreements were always passionate but civil and whenever we'd meet in person we would catch up on family and life and enjoy each others company .. I'm so grateful that we were able to catch up last month at the NSHS reunion. We took pictures and laughed and lingered at the restaurant and it seemed like we all wanted to stay just a bit longer to catch up and enjoy each other company and Mike was as usual vocal and in the middle of the mix. He gave me a big hug goodbye and see you in couple month cuz, at the next meetup at Tahiti ..My deepest sympathy to Andrea and Steve and Ellie and Debbie on your loss.
