I was very saddened to hear of your mom's passing. I will always remember how your mom welcomed me everytime I came to the Fuller Street house to visit. She was a remarkable and beautiful woman, like you.

  My fondest memories of your mother go back to working together at the Bank of Boston.  She was a spirited co-worker and full of energy.  I know she was in the office most of the time so I didn't see too much of her in the kitchen but the times we connected always ended on a positive note, no matter the time or the place we ran into each other. What could I possibly say that hasn't been said in these last 2 and a half years about a completely unfair and unsatisfactory situation.  Your mother has held a special place in my heart as my "Jewish mother" and being her "adopted son" has been a unique and comforting experience for me. Meeting Miki when I first walked into the Bank of Boston restaurant office was the beginning of a beautiful friendship!  Our memories are many throughout the years from birthdays, a bellydancer, get togethers, luncheons, etc, we have always had much to say and share about our lives.
Miki was a rare gem to be treasured for sure!  She had a gentle kindness and generosity of spirit.  I can think of so many memories to share and we've discussed them all over our numerous and extensive visits with her in these final years, as well as prior to this unpleasantness when Miki's health was not such an issue.  She was a vital woman who grabbed life and wrought out every moment of enjoyment with friends and family.
You have been so strong for Miki during her illness these 2.5+ years and that is a tribute in itself to her parenting, as she has instilled the very values in you that everyone who met Miki could see in her.  You truly are "your mother's daughter".
Miki's suffering has now ended... a blessing indeed and your memories will be the special bond to help you cherish her life and remind you from where you came.    Whatever Miki has moved onto we are sure "She'll learn to love it!"  You are in the hearts, minds and prayers of many at this very sad time.
