Dr. Hyde took care of  seven of us children, and my parents, for what were the best years of our lives, while we were all together. Growing up in Mission Hill we saw him frequently and he was like a kind second Dad. My Dad actually was stricken ill in the waiting room and passed away in the office. I was 12 years old and my Dad was only 46. I'm glad he was with Dr.Hyde who was also a friend. You are a lucky family to have shared your lives with his!  Peace to you all from The Cobuccio Family. When we lived on Anderson St., Dr. Hyde was our family doctor.  My grandparents on West Cedar st. also knew him well.  He was always a thorough and respectful doctor and I missed him dearly when I moved away.  When I read the obituary in The West Ender, I felt I should send my condolences.  My best to his surviving family.

Dr. Hyde was a wonderful doctor and compassionate human being.  He was a part of both my childhood and adulthood.

My God shine his light on him always.

Dr Hyde is a fixture of my childhood having nursed me and my siblings through the normal childhood illnesses and even ear piercing. I will never forget his frequent home visits with his black bag and kind, calm manner. He was a lovely man who made a great contribution to growing up on the Hill.

I first met Dr. Hyde when I worked on Beacon Hill, and I never looked back. Here was the kindest doctor that I had ever met, even though I had to wait at least TWO hours to see him each and every time. Life on the hill was always weird, with various people pounding on his door when it was 'my turn.' He was the most patient man,the kindest doctor, I ever met, of the 'old school'.  I loved this man.  I grieve his death.  He was joyful, funny, showed me pix of his giant mastiff dog sleeping in a crib with his child. who could not love him?  To his wife: I can only imagine not only how hard it will be to live without him, but how incredlibly hard it will be to miss his humor. A lovely man.  I am so sorry for your loss. But I must say he was so many people's gain. And personally, a man I will never forget, for his forthright goodness, his professionalism, and his heart. My heartfelt sorrow for the loss or Morris Hyde and sincere condolences to his family.  In spite of his illness including visual difficulty,  Morris took time to review my lengthy Hyde family tree, checking for accuracy of names, spouses, dates and more covering several generations.  I am deeply appreciative of his kindness, thoughtfulness and concern and indebted to him for information otherwise unknown or forgotten by others.  He was an exceptional and caring person.  He will be missed but not forgotten.
