Muriel (Halperson) Goodfader, of Newton and Sarasota, FL, passed peacefully on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at the age of 103.
Muriel was the devoted loving daughter of the late Max & Clara Halperson and beloved wife of the late Dr. Samuel Goodfader. She was a loving mother to Emily Goodfader, Meryl Goodfader and the late Joel Goodfader & his surviving wife Marlene. She was sister to her much cherished brother the late Dr. Bertram D. Halperson and dear sister-in-law to the late Yevette & David Feinstein, Esq. Muriel was the cherished aunt of Dr. Carey Kaplan, Michael Halperson, Peter Halperson, Paula Manburg & her husband Bill Manburg. She is also survived by her cherished grandnieces Sarah, Lauren and Renée and great-grandnephews David and Sam. She was devoted to her many cousins and friends who she held dear both in Boston and Sarasota.
Muriel grew up in Boston. After moving to Newton to raise her children, in mid-life with more free time, she started an estate sales business that she managed successfully into her 90s. Those fortunate to know Muriel enjoyed and valued her lively intelligence, her robust sense of humor and her warm, kind and caring nature.
Graveside Services at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham St., Sharon on Wednesday, October 11 at 11:45am.
