

Myrna Elaine (Weiss) Davidson, age 93, of Dedham, formerly of Needham and Brookline, passed away on August 22, 2026.
She was born in Boston to the late Abraham Weiss and Anna (Herman) Weiss.
As a young and gifted classical pianist, she won accolades and awards for her outstanding performances. Myrna attended Brookline High School and later studied at Brandeis University. She eventually transferred to Boston University to become an elementary school teacher. She met her future and beloved husband, (the late) Murray H. Davidson, on a blind date and they shared 65 years of love, family and devotion together.
Myrna was a leader in the local Jewish community as one of the founders of Temple Aliyah in Needham. She loved Judaism and the Jewish community and she dedicated more than 25 years of her life to teaching Hebrew School. Her hard work, creativity and love for children led to her winning the Keter Torah Award as one of Boston’s most outstanding Jewish educators.
Myrna’s greatest joy was her family which includes her three sons, Leonard “Lenny” and his wife, Laurie; Paul and his wife, Susan; and Gary. She was also the proud grandmother of Michelle, Ashley, Alex and his wife Stephanie, and Rachel, and loving great-grandmother to Sadie.
A funeral service will be held at Temple Aliyah, 1664 Central Avenue, Needham, on Wednesday at 10:00am with livestream viewing available using the following link: https://venue.streamspot.com/7ec3811c
Interment will follow immediately at Anshe Sfard Cemetery, 776 Baker Street, West Roxbury.
Shiva beginning at Lenny & Laurie Davidson's home following burial through 4pm and 7–9pm (minyan at 7:30pm); Thursday, 1–4pm and 7–9pm (minyan at 7:30pm).
Shiva will continuing at Paul and Susan Davidson’s home, on Friday 1–4pm; Sunday & Monday 1–4pm and 7–9pm (minyan at 7:30pm).
