Nancy Joan Jacobson of Lowell passed away on June 8, 2024 at the age of 87. She was full of life and was fortunate to enjoy good health for most of those eighty plus years. She took joy in demonstrating her flexibility by placing both palms on the floor. Because her parents both died at an early age, she did not understand what it meant to be old. She had her children early, so we were fortunate enough to have a young mother for most of our lives. She was an advocate for her family, friends and anyone in need. Nothing was too hard for her. She readily accepted challenges and fought hard to ensure her family and friends had what they needed to be healthy and successful. She was adventurous, lived in Florida during the eighties, enjoyed fast cars, even owned a corvette, and got on the back of motorcycles too many times. She enjoyed family gatherings and loved when we had Sunday dinners together. You could never leave her house without her making sure you were well and everything in your life was good.
Sadly, very recently, her health declined which took away her strength and independence. It was tough for her and those who depended on her boundless energy and resourcefulness.
Nancy is survived by her three sons, the youngest, Mark Lipinsky of Lowell MA, Howard Lipinsky and his wife Lynne from Carlisle MA, and her eldest Frank Lipinsky of Lowell. Her younger sister Mildred Tobolsky and her husband Harvey of Sharon, their two daughters along with her great niece and nephew. She will be missed by her family and her multitude of friends.
Funeral Service at Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard Street, Brookline, on Friday, June 14 at 11:00am with burial following at Jewish Benevolent Cemetery, 350 Grove Street, West Roxbury.
