Nancy Solowsky

May 10, 1951 - August 27, 2025

Nancy of Cypress, Texas, and Newton, Massachusetts, entered into rest on August 27, 2025, at the age of 74. Beloved and devoted wife for 53 years of Dr. Alan Solowsky. Devoted mother of Adam Solowsky and his wife, Melody of New York City, and Jason Solowsky and his wife, Nina of Houston, Texas.

Cherished grandmother of Addison, Michael, and Julia Solowsky.

Loving sister of Deborah Lapidus and her husband Gary Ostrow of Sharon, Dr. John Lapidus and his wife Randi of Newton, and Dr. Candace Lapidus Sloane and her husband Barry of Needham. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and their children.

Dear Daughter of the late Dr. Charles S. and Marilyn J. Lapidus.

Nancy grew up in Newton and graduated from New York University with a B.A. in Art History.

Nancy raised her family in Newton and lived in Houston for the last six years of her life.

She was a teacher, artist, and fashionista.

She was a Life Member of Hadassah and volunteered for the Brandeis Women’s Committee.

Her passions included her family, swimming, working out, Mahjong, canasta, baking, fine dining, travel, and fashion.

A funeral service for Nancy will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Stanetsky Funeral Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton, MA 02021. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon, MA.

Memorial observance on Wednesday, following the service at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Liberman in Weston, Thursday from 2:00 -4:00 and 6:30-8:30 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Fishman in Wellesley, and Friday from 2:00-4:00 at the home of Deborah Lapidus and Gary Ostrow in Sharon.
