I was so sad to hear the news of Noah's passing

Even though I lost touch with Noah after high school - like Steve and Karen I have fond memories of the times the 4 of us shared together.  May we all draw strength and inspiration from Noah's sweetness and devotion to what matters.

Noah and I were best friends through high school and kept in touch through college and into our adult lives. Very saddened that he has left us much to early.

Noah was one of the most compassionate people I have ever known and comfortable with himself. In high school when most of us were only thinking about ourselves, Noah spent the summer in Harlem taking care of an elderly woman. Noah made a difference to the people whose lives he touched; he was always there to listen which was his special gift. My deep condolences to the Katz family; Noah's smile will always be in our hearts.

I was so sorry to hear about Noah.  Like my brother Rich, I remember those wonderful Labor Day weekends at Rannachqua.  I remember how sweet and kind he was, because I used to tag along with the older kids there sometimes, and he always went out of his way to be inclusive.  On occasion over the years we would have an opportunity to chat about our professions.  He would light up when talking about his work.   He was a gentle soul who will certainly be missed.  My condolences to his family.

Visited Boston - and saw the park bench decorated in his honor.  Though I never personally knew him, it established some sort of connection.  I am so sad to hear of his passing.

I met Noah a few years ago as he walked down Eliot Street in JP and was instantly attracted by his wonderful smile and presence. He would often stop outside our house when I was working in the garden and recite his word of the day, which we'd discuss in detail with lots of humor. Noah, I miss you so very much. You're a great neighbor, the kind that makes the fabric of our community strong and vibrant. I'm heartbroken.

What I am feeling right now is very hard to put in words. Noah was such a kindhearted person and a wonderful friend. I am so sorry he has left us so young.I will always treasure the memories that we shared, the weekly phone calls and the touching laugh.
Noah had a amazing life, living it the way he wanted it to be. Traveling around the world, the many marathons he accomplished and the amazing people he would meet on his journey's.
I will miss him dearly, Thanks for being my friend Noah.

My friend , you will be in our hearts forever, your smile and eyes ,lite up the room. We were instant friends the first time we met at the Greenery. I remember your 'Hoot" walking down the hallways. I have many fond memories of Noah at jamaica pond.some days he talked about what he was planning for lunch after his run.other times he would have a question about a word or concept he was pondering.it was always a pleasure to see him.i will miss him.

I am just learning of Noah's passing now, and am so very sorry about it.   We met Noah in 2009 on a trip to Thailand and Viet Nam.   We were instant friends and we loved every second of being with him.   He and I wrote a few times after, but sadly lost touch.   My sympathies to his friends and family.

Noah used to come visit when I lived in Milton.  We'd know he was there by his hoot in the front yard, he never knocked or rang the doorbell.  He'd come unannounced and hang out for hours.  We'd go to Home Depot and he'd follow me on my errands, telling each of the sales people that we were brothers.  Once Cheryl and I waited at Heart Break Hill to cheer him on in the Marathon and when he saw us in the crowd he ran over, gave us a sweaty hug and just spontaneously ended his race.  I didn't see him for years and then a month ago he hailed my daughter and I from his boat house bench by Jamaica Pond and we talked.  I'm glad for that and will remember him with affection, the coarseness of his stubble against my cheek in the hearty greeting he always gave and his vibrant smile.  His memory, it turns out, is a blessing.

Noah made me a better person for knowing him. I will miss me.

I always looked forward to my annual meeting with Noah.  I could travel vicariously through him to some exotic place I would not have the nerve to visit on my own.  He was a sweet man and I'll miss him.  I send my deepest sympathies to his family at this sad time.

I meet Noah in the 1980's when we both owned a condo on Bynner St. In J.P.  He was a generous neighbor and friend. He was always ready to assist anyone and asked for nothing in return.
He was a kind and gentle man. He will be missed by many.

Noah was the most lively, kind, open-hearted man.  I saw him at JP Pond several times a week, and I was so sad to see  a memorial bench with running shoes and t-shirts.  Every time I would run by (slowly) he would shout words of encouragement.  His gentle presence will be sorely missed.  JP Pond will not be the same.  Please know how many lives he touched. Jamaica Pond will never be the same with Noah's sudden death.  I am so grateful to have met and spend quality time with him over the past three years.  I will miss those talks and his very kind face.

We are so sorry to hear about Noah's death. As a kid about 45 years ago at a Ranachqua Labor Day family weekend, I distinctly remember watching Noah canoe gunneling across the lake.  I tried to gunnel a few years later at scout camp and almost killed myself. I remember telling him this story and he told me to keep practicing.  I was very impressed with Noah's skill. I met Noah once .... felt like i made a lifetime friend. A wonderful man.

I am so sorry for the loss of Noah.  I will miss seeing him at Jamaica Pond.  He was always a bright presence in my day.  All of his many friends at Jamaica Pond will feel the void his passing leaves.

I always saw Noah in Jamaica Pond either stretching or jogging.  He loved to sit on the park benches and talk to people. After 25 years of seeing his smiling face I will miss him.

I also remember Noah from Windham College. He was vivacious and handsome.

Noah was the gem of Jamaica Pond. He was always there with a wonderful smile and words of encouragement as people walked, jogged, or ran by. He and I would often chat about our long runs, training runs, recent and upcoming races. I and the rest of Jamaica Plain will miss Noah very much. Deepest condolences to his family.
