Norma Lilly, of Chestnut Hill, passed away peacefully on June 16th at 96 years of age. Daughter of the late Max and Mollie Ravech. Beloved wife of 61 years of the late David Lilly. Loving mother of Sandra and Stephen Kaplan, Dr. Leonard and Dr. Carolyn Lilly, and Patti and Hal Bennett. Cherished grandmother of Morisa and Dr. Mark Surrey, Tara and Brian Eisendrath, Randy and Katya Bennett, Jamie, Jonathan, Rebecca, Deborah and Douglas. Loving great-grandmother of Skyler, Ryder, Taylor, Harper, and Mila. Sister of Harvey and Gloria Ravech and Elliot and Marilyn Ravech. Norma leaves behind many cherished nephews and nieces and cousins, and especially the memory of her late cousin Estelle, who was like a sister to her.
Norma was a renowned fundraiser for many organizations that benefitted young children and the disabled, most notably as founder and guiding spirit of the Red and White Ball, which benefitted individuals with developmental disabilities for over a quarter of a century.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on June 18th at 12:30 pm at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 1668 Beacon Street, Brookline. The burial will follow at Beth El Cemetery, 776 Baker Street, West Roxbury.
