At Raytheon, Krim was at the cutting edge of miniaturizing electron tubes in the 1940’s, innovating many improvements for radar and armaments during WWII, and developing the first pocket radio using his tubes and later transistors for transistor radios in the 50’s, leading the company and the global market on transistors. He was President of RadioShack, a Boston-based company, and later of Joseph Pollak Company. Beloved husband of the late Beatrice (Barron). Loving father of Arthur of Cambridge, Robert of Newton and the late Donald B. Krim of New York City. Loving grandfather of Miriam, Simon, Sarah, and Benjamin. Dear brother of the late Blanche Levie, the late Seymour, and the late Herbert. He was the beloved companion of Blanch Endlar. Services at the Levine Chapel, 470 Harvard St., Brookline on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at 1:00 pm. Burial in Sharon Memorial Park, Sharon. Sitting shiva at the home of Robert Krim & Kathy Anderson Sunday from 6-9pm, Monday 2:30-5:30 pm and 7-9 pm, Tuesday 7-9pm. In lieu of flowers contributions should be made by check to MIT-Norman B.
