

Peter Singer, longtime resident of Sudbury, MA, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at the age of 82.
Peter was born in Brooklyn, NY, and grew up in the Village of Malverne on Long Island with his late brother Charles (Chuck) and parents Morris (Moe) and Thelma. He was predeceased by his wife Michele (Goldstein) Singer in 2004.
Peter attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute, earning both his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in electrical engineering. He was known by friends and colleagues as uniquely intelligent, curious, giving, and caring. Outside of his work as a technology and systems engineer, Peter remained a tinkerer who was always fixing, modifying, and using the tools of his interests, be it cameras or cars or computers. Peter also always remained curious about the world and the people in it, traveling with Michele, joining weekly Torah study sessions, and asking for frequent updates on the lives of everyone he knew.
Peter was a proud father, father-in-law, and grandfather. He is survived by sons Mark and Todd, daughters-in-law Julie Singer and Emily Straus, grandchildren Dana, Etta and Moxie. In-laws Sari Singer, Ruth and Richard Butler, and Katie Guthorn.
A funeral service will be held at Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard Street, Brookline, on Monday, June 8th, at 12:00pm, followed by the interment at New Town Cemetery, 357 Concord Road, Sudbury.
