

Dr. Philip E. Schwartz of Framingham, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at the age of 81 on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from complications of Lewy Body Dementia.
Phil is predeceased by his parents, Herbert and Lillian Schwartz of Natick, Massachusetts, and by his beloved wife, Barbara Schwartz. He is survived by his three loving daughters, Hedy Dion of Worcester, Carolyn and Benjamin Lieberman of Westborough, and Andrea Schwartz and Bianca Machado of Clermont, Florida; his cherished grandchildren, Nicole, Noah, and Bram; and his devoted partner of 15 years, Marcia Waldman of Marlborough.
He also leaves behind his siblings, Paul and Cherie Schwartz of Granby, Connecticut, Arthur Schwartz of Natick, and Roslyn and Bruce Comenitz of Wayland, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
A proud graduate of Temple University and Georgetown University Dental School, Dr. Schwartz served as a Captain in the United States Army during the Vietnam War before beginning a distinguished dental career that spanned more than 50 years. His patients and colleagues admired him for his steady professionalism, warmth, and dedication to his craft.
Beyond his career, Phil’s interests were as vibrant and wide-ranging as his spirit. He was an avid long-distance cyclist, a skilled woodworker, and a lifelong enthusiast of cars, boats, and trains—especially toy trains, which brought him great joy. He loved times spent vacationing, particularly at the beach, and cherished the beauty of Cape Cod and Ogunquit, Maine.
A private graveside burial will be held on Tuesday, November 11 at 11:00am and will be live streamed at the following link: www.levinelive.com/philipschwartz
Shiva will be observed at Congregation B’nai Shalom, 117 E. Main Street, Westborough, MA 01581, on Wednesday, November 12, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., and is open to all mourners.
