DAVIS, Phyllis B (Brown) of Needham. Entered into rest June 15, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Stanton H Davis. Devoted mother of Jonathan & Greta Davis, Rick & Eileen Davis and Eve Dennis. Loving sister of Sheila (Brown) Zola and Edward Brown. Cherished nana of Ben & Jackie Davis, Jaclyn, Brian Davis, Amy Davis, Justin & Kate Dennis, Tyler & Tatjana Dennis and Spencer Dennis. Born in Framingham, raised in Dorchester and lived in Needham for almost 65 years. She was a 1948 graduate of Boston University with a degree in Practical Arts and Letters (now known as Liberal Arts). In addition to raising her family, she spent much of her professional career as an Executive Assistant to the Dean of Academic Affairs at Babson College. Phyllis was active in the Jewish community, serving many years on the Board of Trustees at Temple Reyim in Newton and she was also a longtime member of Temple Aliyah in Needham. She was a voracious reader, enjoyed long walks and going to the beach. Phyllis was known for devotion to her grandchildren, her many lifelong friendships welcoming personality. Funeral services will be at Stanetsky Memorial Chapels, 475 Washington St., Canton 02021, on Sunday June 17th, at 2:00 pm, with interment to follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham St., Sharon, MA. Memorial observance following interment at the home of Rick & Eileen Davis until 9 pm, continuing Monday from 3-9 pm.
