Renee Krafchick

Our mother, Renee (Brooks) Krafchick died on March 18, 2023 from complications from Alzheimer’s disease. Renee was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts and trained as a teacher at Salem State Teachers College. Renee lived in Newton, Massachusetts and Boca Raton, Florida. She is survived by her two children and their families, Harris (Ellen) Krafchick and Sheryl (Steven) Dropkin. She was very proud of her four grandchildren; Julie Krafchick, Amanda (Barry) Kaufman, Jeffrey (Hannah) Krafchick and Andrea (Steven) Mackey. She lived to see the birth of five great-grandchildren, Grayson Mackey, Isaac Kaufman, Jonah Kaufman, Olivia Krafchick and Finn Mackey. She also leaves her cherished niece, Stacey Gross. Renee was predeceased by her husband, Sidney Krafchick, her parents, Minnie and Joseph Brooks, and her sister, Cynthia Gross. Renee’s children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the center of her life. Donations may be made in Renee’s memory to the charity of your choice. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. A private graveside service will be conducted. Renee’s shiva will be observed on Monday, March 20, 2023 from 3-5PM and 6-9PM at Nahanton Woods Condominium, 210 Nahanton Street Newton, MA 02459.
