

Richard David Gilman, 97, of Lexington, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026. He was the son of the late Edward Gilman and Dorothy (Klemer) Gilman and was born in Boston.
Richard proudly served in the United States Air Force. He went on to attend Harvard University and Boston University School of Law, where he built a distinguished career as an attorney and teacher.
Richard had a lifelong appreciation for music and especially enjoyed attending symphony performances. He will be remembered for his articulate nature, intelligence, kindness, and dedication to his family and work.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Cynthia (Blumsack) Gilman, to whom he was married for 68 years. He also leaves his three children, Robert, Pamela, and Lisa; four grandchildren, Evan, Tyler, Allison, and Jeffrey; and three great-grandchildren, Nora, Benjamin, and Caleb.
A funeral service will be held at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon, on Monday, September 28, 2026, at 10:00 AM, followed by interment. A luncheon will follow at Cafe Escadrille, 26 Cambridge Street, Burlington.
