arrest. He was born in Boston and raised in Dorchester as the son of Harry and Gertrude
Goodkin. Richard attended Boston Latin School and went on to graduate from Princeton
University in 1967 with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology. He obtained his law degree
from Harvard Law School in 1970. His first job out of law school was at Rackemann,
Sawyer & Brewster in Boston in real estate law. Richard had a very successful career as a
corporate lawyer in the computer industry. Along with that, he was a valuable
consultant for many associates and friends. Richard loved music, cars, movies, art,
musical theatre, good food, electronical gadgets, and most of all, spending time with his
family. He always admired nature and the beauty and fun in life. Richard was more than
one of a kind. He was so selfless, generous, wise, caring, and much more. Richard is
survived by his loving wife, Lorraine, his daughter, Renay, his two grandchildren,
Brooke and Nickolas, and his brother, David, as well as many other family members and
friends. Funeral services will be private at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel.
